The table top is made out of my own biomaterial based on Peanut shells. The peanut shells are waste from a unique restaurant where a huge amount of peanuts is eaten. I gathered these peanut shells and made lots of material samples with them. I collected these peanut shells and after much experimentation I made this tabletop.
Because the material shrunk during the drying process, cracks have formed. In combination with the black look due to the charcoal, this provides a unique aesthetic.
