When I think about the convenience culture I think about the environmental impact the way of living has. Most convenience products are not sustainable and vice versa. I decided to focus on these topics combined to find a middle ground.
I developed a small soap/shampoo tablet that dissolves quickly when it comes in contact with water. The tablets are breakable, one side you can use to wash your body and one side to wash your hair. The dose is exactly enough for one time use. Unlike a regular shampoo bar the tablets create a lot of lather in a short amount of time and are really easy and fast to use. Besides that there is no need to store the tablets after using them because they dissolve completely.
Just like the tablets the packaging can be broken to separate the white side from the coloured side. In the bottom of the packaging is a gap with a small cardboard disc with which you can push the tablets up one by one. In the package are seven tablets which I think is an ideal amount for a small travel box. The packaging is completely made from cardboard and therefore can easily be made from recycled paper and be recycled after use again.
