Packaged food is a major source of waste. Koen van Bokhoven designed a refillable sauce bottle that reduces the level of food waste and the amount of plastic used for packaging while enhancing user experience. The design consists of two components: an outer bottle and an inner pouch. You purchase the outer bottle just once, while the pouch is readily available as a refill. Air pressure between the bottle and pouch flattens the latter when the bottle is squeezed. The design ensures that the bottle can be emptied entirely without necessitating shaking or opening of the bottle. This innovative design offers a seamless and more eco-friendly solution for sauce dispensing in the near future.
